After you’ve begun exploring the Mines after reaching around level 5, you will receive a letter in your mailbox on the morning after you first explore the Mines. Its says “If you can slay 10 slimes, you’ll have earned your place in the Adventurer’s Guild.” This letter tells you that to join the Adventurer’s Guild, you need to defeat 10 slimes.

The Initiation quest is one of the early challenges you’ll encounter in Stardew Valley. In this quest, you are required to slay 10 slimes. Once you complete this task, you will receive entry to the Adventurer’s Guild. It is a place where you can purchase new weapons. You can also upgrade your gear and access additional mining tools. This quest tests your combat skills. Additionally, you will learn to handle energy and weapon upgrades.

The Mines are situated in the northern part of Stardew Valley. Head to the entrance located in the northern part of Pelican Town. As you enter, be mindful of your surroundings. The Mines are dark, so use any available light sources if needed. They are situated between Linus’ Tent, northwest of town. The Adventurer’s Guild is on the eastern side of the Mountains.

Slimes are usually bright green, bouncing creatures. They often cluster together, which makes it easier to defeat multiple enemies at once. When you see slimes, approach them slowly so you can avoid being caught off guard. Watch their movement patterns; slimes usually hop around in small, predictable circles.

With the quest complete, you now have access to the Adventurer’s Guild. This new location offers better weapons and upgrades. It sometimes provides special items. These will help you in deeper Mines and other adventures. Don’t be discouraged if you struggle at first. The more you fight slimes, the better you’ll understand their patterns and how to handle multiple enemies.

As you gather resources from the Mines, consider upgrading your weapon. A better weapon will make defeating slimes and other monsters much easier.
