Rat Problem quest is a quirky early story quest in Stardew Valley that gets you involved with the Community Center. Basically, after a few days on your farm (Spring 5+), you’ll start to notice that something is off about the Community Center, a place that you are curious about. The quest tells you “There’s something odd going on in the Community Center.” Then go check it out, and investigate the Community Center. Here’s what you need to complete the quest.

The quest works when you visit pelican town in bus stop area on the right side of your farm between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM. From your farm go to the right. Head over to Pelican Town and then make your way to the Bus Stop area. Once there, enter the Community Center; it’s hard to miss with its large, inviting building and mysterious interior.

You will get a cutscene Once there with Lewis. Lewis shows up looking a bit worried. He approaches you with a concerned expression and casually explains that there’s been trouble with the Community Center. He doesn’t go into too many details, but his chat makes it clear that this isn’t just a small issue. It hints that the Community Center holds bigger secrets that need to be uncovered.

After that enter the Community Center in the up side of the pelican town. When you get inside, go straight to the Crafts Room where you’ll find a Golden Scroll. Enter the Community Center and examine the Golden Scroll in the Crafts Room. Interacting with this scroll is the key part of the quest.

After you’ve looked at the golden thing that look like Golden Scroll. You will see an ancient writing with unknown league and after read it will make the rat problem quest marked as completed. The next morning in your farm mail, you will get a letter in the mail from the Wizard. Triggering the “Meet the Wizard” quest which will take you even further into the game’s story.

In short, “Rat Problem” is your first taste of the mysterious side story of Stardew Valley. It encourages you to explore more the Community Center. Start the storyline about the town’s hidden past story. Get ready for more magical adventures ahead you.
